My Mps made with stock turbo FMIC 3" Turboback Exhaust, Autotech HPFP internals, 380 PS and 578nm Map from StratifiedAuto, 8.2- 8.7s 100-200... so something ist wrong with this MPS or the Turbo was the wrong Choise. In my opinion the Modified K04 from Corksport is the best Choise for this car.

@mattieson130 First i am from Germany, second yes 380Hp but not to the Wheels , third our Aral 102 here in Germany is an insane Fuel. And at last 2 weeks later i bend my Rods because my Speed got to early to much torque. My Friend bought it from me and Rebuild the Engine...

This video was a torture to watch, if you are gonna shift like reta***, get someone else to do it then, you almost broke that car.

For reference, it's faster then a Tycan Turbo S, AMG GT 4 Door and 0.04 seconds slower then a BMW M8 Comp, that's amazing, wow!

The Mazdaspeed 3 never got the recognition it deserved! These machines were producing 260bhp with 280lb-ft torque back in 2006 which meant it was arguably one of or if not the most powerful fwd hot hatches you could buy. Those figures are still respectable today not to mention a few simple mods could get this thing easy over the 300bhp mark. The Mazdaspeed 3 is possibly one of the most underrated hot hatches ever. I've seen stock Mazdaspeed 3's reach top speeds of 165/170mph. It's time these machines got the respect and recognition they deserve!

@Andrey Cristian see that's the problem there, I'm guessing you're most likely from the UK or somewhere in Europe, 400whp is no problem for these cars, you just need the right support, all the right mods and maintain it frequently, the problems come when people start listening to others who had no idea what they're doing and blew it up, I know plenty of people who have done it correctly, I know someone who has pushed 380whp for the past 12 years, minimal issues, hell I even know a guy who pushed 500whp stock block, he absolutely hammered on it and the car didn't show signs of danger (ofc I don't recommend that, for most people it will blow up after 400whp)

Not to mention, insane tuning capabilities, dramtune got the stock block pushing 480WHP, mot hp, WHEEL that’s absolutely mind blowing. And handles like a champ with the spicy trorqsteer, i have a gen 1 and i live it

@Dallas Mellsop the b235r it’s a turbo 4 pot from stock, with a map and down pipe you can squish 50/60 horses, but once you add a big turbo you’re done, I owned 2, looking for information many have complained of problems over 350/400 and those who have gone beyond have a forged block. it is not a bad engine it has a lot of potential but to be safe you have to spend much more than you initially imagined😅😂

@Andrey Cristian 400whp on a stock block is really good, why are you saying it like it's bad 😂 And before you say, ofc their are 4 cylinders that can hold more (ea888, k or b series etc?

@BeyerT1 uhhhhhh you've lost it right there pal, around tracks it was faster then the civic type r, megan's rs, Audi s3, etc of the time. Add to that it's nice interior, and it being the most dramatic fun cars of the lot with some really fun torque steer and a tiny bit of lag, it truly is an exceptional car, I think maybe youve been gapped by one lol

The MK1 non aero's are almost identical to standard 3s. Can't get any more sleeper as even the majority of car people don't even know what an MPS.

@Golden Croc yeah, you can, but then your car is back to not being fast because anymore than 6 lbs of boost in first gear and you’re blowing the tires off.

@GUTHRIE #1 But isnt power per gear and/or speed commonplace when you tune to higher power these days? Feels like I have heard of it for at least 20 years. That should lessen much of the problem except increased turbo lag one would think. But if you only use the stock ECU with stock power delivery parameters the yeah, I can see the problem but if you have a 560hp MPS, wouldnt you use something better or at least some piggyback ECU?

@Golden Croc The problem is most people spend there time between 30 to 85 MPH which is around 50 to 150 KPH. At these normal road speeds you can NOT find traction with 560 WHP through the front wheels. You need RWD or AWD. It’s way more fun being able to use your fist few gears.

At 200+ kph, it should be usable I think? I dont think its possible to have to much power, if the engine itself can take it.

It’s unusable. I had a 2011 speed3 and at only 280 whp with basic bolt ons the first three gears were worthless. If it was raining out I would spin in 5th gear. Very frustrating.

Wij bouwen zelf niks om. Onze kracht is het afstellen. Je zal veel moeten zoeken op forums, informatie inwinnen bij mensen die dit al gedaan hebben. Zoals Matthijs (eigenaar van de Mazda MPS). Zijn insta is dutch_mps even uit mijn hoofd :-)

Hoe gaat het in zijn werk als je hier zelf interesse in hebt, besteden jullie het bouwwerk uit aan anderen, of moet je deze bedrijven zelf benaderen en naderhand bij jullie laten inprogrammeren? Ik heb al eens wat e-mailtjes uitgestuurd met intresse (o.a. de bedrijven op de zijkant van deze wagen), maar het lijkt een wereldje waar iedereen elkaar kent ofzo. Want niemand reageert op de emails... behoorlijk teleurstellend.

@Tau Mitch it depends mine is manual gearbox but most of the cupra are dsg... But even with dsg it needs 540 or 550 hp at least to achieve 6,5

sure it is fast, but for sure not 560hp, or idk why, but friend of mine has 550hp gti mk5 with big turbo and 100-200 that car spins it's tires and goes quicker than this so pretty weird, but still fast !

And you say the standard M5 is a lot faster? You are not making sense unfortunately... It seems your whole point is moot because of this.

@Nuno Costa if it was with en dsg for exemple it would achieve 6,5 or 6,6 that a différence....

But no traction lost is visible on the video, yes better gear change but that does not account for the final result!!!!
