I own one of these, its a fun little car. But the dsg gearbox sorta kills the fun for me, Shifts very slowly and in D-Mode its always shifting too early, making the car feel slower than it actually is.

Slow shifting? This car owned other hot hatchbacks with similar power in drag races thanks to dsg. It is fast just doesn't let you go about certain rpm. You have S mode for aggressive shifting. It also has launch control.

All those holes on the shift pads are a big fail. Lots of places for dust to rest on...

It's not standard. The standard ones are much smaller. But you are on the right track, on the piano paint (i dont know the english word for it), gets dust very easy :)

Got the exact same car. After 4 months it got totally destroyed by a careless driver. It had every option you could check, was a 2020 Model. I replaced it with a Cupra Formentor, which I will get in may. The Polo GTI is a really nice car, with superb quality. Handling is super nice. The only drawback is, that its slow. Especially from 100-200 its really really slow thanks to the weird gear ratio. Also I had issues with the 6 spd DSG, it was stuttering. Got the car brand new. But the driving itself is very nice.
