I’m a mk8 fiesta st owner for a few days now. So the sound and interior are feeling the same. Must say I love these cars even with the 3 cilinder engine. Quite like that rumble it has. And the inside of the car is a huge improvement compared to the previous models.

I think that this car is a great entry drug into performance cars for a reasonable price. It has nice safety features, looks cool, it's not too fast and you can really push it. I think it should be perfect to get you hooked up with performance cars =).

I was too, but fords 3cyl 1000cc engine from the 2014 fiesta has still proven to be a reliable powerplant that isnt too small for the size of the vehicle

Why don't you go to a racing track for your tests instead of public Autobahn? One tiny mistake by another driver (it doesn't fucking matter how experienced YOU are) and you kill yourself (ok) and others (not ok)! With that speed (I saw another video where you go past 300), you have no chance to react.

My Ford Focus (2019) 182 HP, Shifter, drives faster (232 km/h), than a new Ford Puma ST? 🤔 I can't believe! That's not a good Reason to buy a Ford Puma ST with 18 HP more like my Focus with 182 HP. Ok it‘s a Mini SUV and not challenging with a Focus Limousine, but fact is, the Puma has the ST Engine with 200 HP and nearly the same Weight with a Ford Focus.

@interceptor1986 Higher Suspension is more comfortable when you enter the car. Think aubout the older generation...like me 😂 And a Focus ST is more extensive than a Puma.

@Bartlomiej Nowak when has higher suspension been better? It just causes more body roll. A bigger boot I would be more tempted to get a Focus.

It’s like a 2L with 130HP 😂 My old fiesta.. 350k km.. 1.2L 75HP. My actual Golf. 2L with 105HP. 265k km 👍 My actual Nissan. 3700cc with 380HP. They all make sense. Now Audi, VW, Mercedes, BMW too.. they make 2L with 280HP.. so the engine is super stressed 🤷🏼‍♂️

Little engine so fast

*Advantages* : Manual, Fast (on its class) and cheap to run. *Disadvantages* Fat looking, Small luggage boot and a bit underpowered compared to its rivals.

@You Tube its not depending of capacity, its depending on your type of luggage for instance, lets say a Mclaren GT has got total of ~500L of luggage space but you can't able to fit a biycle or bulky suitcase however on a BMW 2 Series Grand Tourer you can. Even if you dont fold down the rear seats. (Biycle must be smaller than A bolky suitcase btw)

At 456L -1216L (probably including the MegaBox wich could be a handy feature) it is one of the bigger boots for a B-segment cross over. A close compatitor of this Puma is a T-Roc R with 4Motion wich has a bootcapacity of 392L (because of the extra haldex a smaller boot than the regular T-Roc) and 800L with the seats folded. The upcomming Kona N also will have a smaller boot. Most of the compatitors don't even come close to the horsepower figures of the Puma ST nor the T-Roc R, maybe the Countryman Cooper S wich has a boot capacaty of 450 L and 1390L with the seats folded wich is quite spacious.

@glnknl Well yes but E36 is not that cheap and reliable and can be rare to get non tuned one. Also it no need to be wet to get some fun,with 200Hp you can do easy some drifts on race track,parking lot...etc. And you can build real drift car if you want so its not that bad car and you still need thinking its day car if i want drift car i can buy AMG or something like that.

@Tony Valdez Barely, a BRZ is not a great drift car. It has to be slippery wet and on bad tires to get anything real out of it. For drifting even an old E36 325/328 would be better cause of the linear power of the inline-6 good throttle response and better torque. Only need a limited slip differential.

@glnknl But both cars are not builded to be super fast more like day cars. also with BRZ you can drift in any legal speed so yes its fun too.

@Tony Valdez It's not like your BMW and Mercedes are any better. Most of what you pay is the brand. I should know, I own both. You'd be surprised how much tuning potential these "cheaper" cars have compared to "more expensive" cars. Subaru's 6-speed STI manual gearbox takes more power than Mercedes' 7-speed DCT for example found in many V8 AMG models. Point is, more expensive doesn't necessarily mean better, and cheaper doesn't necessarily mean worse.

@Tim Euskirchen 1I understand that some ppls like changing parts etc. on Cheap Cars,sorry but its not my cup of tea. 2 I simply Not want my day car faster(consume more fuel,decrease engine durability etc.) i rather save money on BMW/Merc and make weekend car faster and enjoy that on race track a lot more. Maybe it sounds silly but i like this way more.

Often slower cars a cheaper and you can change parts and still don't spend the same money as on a faster car... because some people like to have a car that is a wolf in sheeps clothing? There are many reasons and "just buy a faster one" is only a thing people say who do not love cars
